[Esbox-users] ESbox issues [was: ESBox making my system freeze]

Ok!

The "broken Fremantle" and the other ESbox issues seem to be related to this repeated bit from the error log:

Caused by: org.maemo.esbox.internal.api.scratchbox.core.commands.ScratchboxInvalidOperationException: id: cannot find name for group ID 5084
id: cannot find name for group ID 7010
id: cannot find name for group ID 7014
id: cannot find name for group ID 7102
id: cannot find name for group ID 7103

It looks like this text is cluttering up the output when we try to detect the current SB target. And you say you don't see this same condition from the console when running "/scratchbox/tools/sb-conf current"?

It's an odd one, that's for sure. I'll add a workaround for this...

Hi all,

2009/8/20 <Ed.Swartz at nokia.com>:

I try it again, here's the result:

1) I create a new C/Gtk Hello World

2) The wizard asks me wich target do I want:
http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/1685/screenshotnewmaemocproj.png

you can notice that FREMANTLE_x86 appears as "Broken" :( really don't know why... I can use it to test my MAFW python bindings and MAFW C examples... I think that "broken" is too generic for me to understand what's wrong with it.

3) After initial wizard I got prompted to verify some packages automatically, but I get this:
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/297/screenshotvalidateinsta.png

4) I then continue clicking Next/Yes and I get the following errors:

- http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/5136/screenshoterror1.png

5) At the end I'm able to edit the sourcecode, but all the #include give me errors: "Unresolved inclusion"

> If that still fails, then what shell do you use for /bin/sh?  (Just grasping at straws here...)  And could you send the error log containing info about the processes that failed to launch (Windows > Show View > Other > Error Log, and then Export Log)?

I use this shell:

agrandi at gudurix:/home/igalia/agrandi/download/esbox $ ls -al /bin/sh lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Aug  7 16:04 /bin/sh -> bash

You can find the exported error log in the attachment (I've zipped it so it takes less space).

> It should succeed and post an info to the error log ("Starting up Scratchbox 1 > Ran '/scratchbox/sbin/sbox_ctl [re]start").

I attach you even the other log, but it doesn't contain so much...

> In any case, file this one soon if it happens a lot.  We'll poke around for a fix and forward it to the upstream project.

ok

> Thanks,

thanks to you! You're very quick to reply :)

I hope all this stuff can be fixed before the final Fremantle goes out ;)

Best regards,
