I have no idea :)  There must be some environment variable differences when launching Eclipse versus launching your shell, that's all I can guess.  But we can work around this.  I filed bug 4396 about this.

Ok.  There is a new integration release being posted right now (20090819), though of course it doesn't have any fix for this issue yet.  And it has a few other known bugs, which are in the tracker and in the Mica tracker <https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/?atid=2996&group_id=799&func=browse>... but we're heading toward a prefinal release in two weeks, so it would be good to uncover any other issues like this early!
