[Mer-discuss] Mer on Nokia 770?

Hello,

First of all thanks for working on Mer.
I already thought my 770 is doomed because Nokia doesn't release any
updates - glad to see there is maybe hope for it ;)
Sorry for the newbie-questions. I wasn't able to find the information
anywhere else, thats why I ask here.

1. Does Mer support the Nokia 770 internet tablet? I've seen several
old versions provide images for the 770, but never versions of Mer
only seem to support N8x0.
Do the N8x0 images work on the 770 too? All I would need would be wlan...

2. Is it possible to install Mer on an usb storage device, and only
have /boot on the mmc.
I would prefer to install and boot Mer from an 8GB usb-stick in usb-host-mode.
Is this possible at all? Does Mer support USB-host mode by default?

3. How complete are the package repositories?
I would like to replace an old PC based server, so my requirements are
quite unusual for the typical tablet user:
- GCC and development tools (I don't like cross compiling ;) )
- postgresql server
- traffic shaping modules (tc, iptables, ...)
- pppd (to dial in using an adsl modem)
