[Mer-discuss] Touchscreen issue with smartQ7 on testing6 and latest git

Hello,

the touchscreen stops working after a while, i.e. there are no
more events coming in on /dev/input/event0.

This happens when events don't get read fast enough
from /dev/input/event0.

Steps to reproduce:

 * open anything with a scrolled window
 * scroll up and down so that cpu load goes to 100%
  -> after a few moments the screen will freeze

If i then connect from another computer to the X server on the smartQ
(with x2x) then I can see that X is still up and running ok. Restarting
X does not help, only a reboot helps to get the events back.

Thus my suspicion is that the touchscreen driver is sensitive to not
have read events in a timely manner.

I have tested with testing6 from rootfs and the latest kernel from GIT.
