[Mim-devel] Encoding support of String operation or Maemo?

Dear All:

A Simple question, how about encoding support of string operation on Maemo?

1. support only unicode
2. support only ascii and a extended codeset such as GB/GBK
3. support both
4. though there is limit in built-in string operation library, we can
use third-party libraries easily to support any encoding for string
operation.

Which one is the case?
