[mwkn-contributors] "Announcements" section - useful?

Hi,

Quim's raised a question as to the value of the "Announcements" section:

My response was that it was intended to catch everything, and that
only the "important" stuff would be pulled out to the more defined
sections:

What are your thoughts, though as contributors? I know I've sometimes
had to ponder whether something is in "announce" or "apps".
