Any plans to update this software to OS2008? It's a nice piece of software, very readable fonts, and having the ESV
for free is a bonus. It's missed with the new OS, so I hope you will support it. Thanks

the easiest way would be to edit /usr/bin/rapier to comment out
the two "set_property('allow-checkbox-mode',False)"
line mentionned in the patch.

An anoter way would be to checkout the latets svn sources and
build a package from there.

thanks pierre. i installed all the packages and executed the
'touch' command. how do i make the change you mentioned in your
last post? when i try to execute rapier, i get

Hi there.

A version of OS2008 should be pushed in the extra reposiory.
I just don't know yet when this will happen. Most probably during
january or february 2008.

It should already be possible to install the existing packages
for os2007 on os2008 though, but you may have to workaround some
problems:

1) OS 2008 python bug

The following, as root, should workaround this python-gnome bug:

touch /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gnome/__init__.py

2) Installing packages.

Be sure you are in red pill mode.
Download and install packages in the following order:
