Summary:
Double key event in N810

Detailed description
I've tried latest vncviewer in N810, and everything works great except the hardware keyboard. When a key is pressed,
the key press event is sent to the server. But when the key is released, another key event is sent. This means that
when typing into VNC, you get double key presses (press and release).

Please contact me if you need more information.

Thanks.

Seens to be a problem of the vnc server used!

The issue only appears when the vnc server is x11vnc, and it
can be avoided if the option -skip_dups is used in the server.

Trying vino-server instead of x11vnc worked. The bug seems quite
similar as the one in https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=15
25&group_id=119&atid=505 , but I'm getting double keypress
for space key too.

I'll keep trying to make x11vnc work, as I love the screen scaling
feature missing in other servers.

Thanks!

The VNC server is x11vnc version 0.9.3.dfsg.1-1ubuntu1. I'll
try another VNC server when I get home, but previously I have
been using vncviewer in nokia 770, with same server, with no
problems.

I'll keep you informed.

Greets.

This is probably the same as

https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=15
25&group_id=119&atid=505

which I closed, as the submitter sugested it is a problem with
vnc server ?

Thanks a lot for the bug report. We do not have N810 availible
but I wonder why this bug report comes so late?

Could you please note the vnc server you are using, and could
others give a comment, if they have the same problem on other
vnc server?

Thanks a lot.

I will try to get the N810 of my brother for some hours to fix
this bug:-)
