VPC_SDK is a project to allow you to run the current Maemo (Fremantle) sdk inside a Virtual PC image. This image can be used to develop, GTK and QT applications in both C/C++ and Python.

The current image has the following features:

• It is designed to work inside Virtual PC; so as many configuration steps to make a linux virtual machine run smoothly in VPC have been pre-configured.
• It has built in SSH and open file shares enabled for ease of moving data between the host and the VM.
• Pre-built in support for
  • Subversion
  • Xephyr
  • Midnight Commander
  • Giplet

• It has scripts to automatically download and install
  • Scratchbox
  • SDK
  • Nokia SDK Binaries
  • QT (Optional)
  • Python (Optional)
  • Geany (Optional)

• Mostly future proofed (Update script which should apply any new found fixes or stuff to support in the vm when issues are found)

Please note; if you are using VMWare, or VirtualBox? their is another VM setup for those virtual machines http://maemovmware.garage.maemo.org/ they have images for non-Virtual PC users geared toward GTK work.
